KCSIE Part One: Now available to listen to!
We know that getting everyone in a school or college to sit down and read through KCSIE Part One can be a challenge — particularly at the start of a busy new academic year.
But it’s important. Under KCSIE 2026, all staff are expected to read Part One in full, including those who don’t work directly with children. The previous shorter Annex A has now been removed, meaning everyone is working from the same safeguarding expectations.
So, we’ve made it a little easier.
We’re pleased to share an audio recording of KCSIE 2026 Part One in full, giving staff the opportunity to listen to the guidance rather than having to read it from beginning to end.
You can listen at a time and place that works for you — during your commute, while getting ready for the day, or simply with a cup of coffee!
Of course, listening to the recording doesn’t replace your school or college’s own safeguarding policies, procedures or training, but it can be a useful way to make sure everyone has access to Part One and understands their safeguarding responsibilities.
