At The Essential Safeguarding Company, our mission has always been simple: to protect children and create safer environments where every child can thrive. We believe that safeguarding isn’t just the responsibility of schools – it’s a partnership between educators, parents, and communities. That’s why we are so proud to be launching the brand-new season of our Empowering Parents Workshops this September.
These online sessions are designed to give families the practical tools, confidence, and knowledge they need to support safeguarding at home and beyond. Schools can sign up now to access all 8 sessions for all parents, making it a fantastic way to strengthen school communities and keep children safe both in and outside the classroom.
The very first session of this year’s programme takes place this Wednesday at 6pm—and because it’s online, busy parents can join easily from the home.
Leading the session is Neil King, a website and software developer, engineer, games designer, and educator with decades of experience in IT. Neil has worked across education, child safety, medical, automotive and gaming sectors, and even has two number-one best-selling apps on the App Store! With over 20 years of experience working in schools, Neil is perfectly placed to explore one of today’s most pressing safeguarding challenges: the impact of Artificial Intelligence.

AI is rapidly changing the way children learn, communicate, and play. While it offers exciting opportunities, it also carries risks. This session will give parents clear, practical insight into both the wonders and dangers of AI, empowering them to guide their children towards safe and responsible use.
Building on the success of last year’s series – which covered topics such as InCel awareness, healthy digital habits, and staying safe outside of school – this year’s eight-session programme will be even bigger and better.
Over the coming months, parents will also hear from:
Each session includes a resource pack filled with tips and tools for families and schools, and every workshop is recorded so parents can revisit the content – or schools can use it later for staff training.
Once you sign up, we’ll send you a marketing flyer and session link straight away so you can share with parents and get them involved.
Don’t miss the chance to be part of the very first session in this year’s Empowering Parents series. Together, we can raise awareness, empower action, and build a strong safeguarding culture in every school community.
